Clear Lake Baptist Single Adult Ministry Director for Almost 10 Years 2002-20011
As the Single Adult Ministry Director my soul purpose was to help Single Adults see their potential, to pursue God, and encourage one another to do the same. I spent 10 years serving and hoping that I would make a difference in their lives and that they would do the same for others as well. I have been continuing as a Bible Study Teacher on Tuesday nights and hope that God speaks to those in attendance through me.

New Focus (Foster Care)
Now my wife and I have a new focus. God has something special in store for us and He is directing us to Foster Care. Specifically foster to adopt. We have not been able to have children, but know that we could give our love to someone that needs it. We look forward to learning experience, hardships, joyous occasions, and love that we can provide as a family. This is our prayer – That we can make a difference in the life of a child.

My Calling
First and foremost, my calling is to serve Christ. Second is to serve my family and finally the third is listed below.

I have always felt that my purpose was to try and make a difference in the lives of others, but recently I heard God give me a clear message. That may seem weird to some, but somehow it was if He was speaking directly to me. It is simply this:

1 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, speak to your people and tell them: Suppose I bring the sword against a land, and the people of that land select a man from among them, appointing him as their watchman, 3 and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows his trumpet to warn the people. 4 Then, if anyone hears the sound of the trumpet but ignores the warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head. 5 [Since] he heard the sound of the trumpet but ignored the warning, his blood is on his own hands. If he had taken warning, he would have saved his life. 6 However, if the watchman sees the sword coming but doesn’t blow the trumpet, so that the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes and takes away their lives, then they have been taken away because of their iniquity, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood. – Ezek 33:1-6 (HCSB)

I believe that He has called me as a watchman. Someone who will do my best to speak the truth of God to anyone who will listen. Whether it is good tidings or warnings from above, I am to love His people enough to give them His Word. It is not my job to convince anyone of anything. My soul purpose is to give the information and do my best to love and serve people as He would want me to. This is my calling.
